Driving Phobia
Fear of Driving may involve a general fear of driving due to concern for an accident or may be due to fear of having a panic attack while driving. In some cases, the fear is specific to certain driving activities such as driving over bridges, in tunnels, multi-lane or high speed roads, merging, etc. Driving anxiety may arise after a motor-vehicle accident. In most cases, a withdrawal from driving, or avoidance, worsens the fear of driving, in part due to driving being an assertive behaviour that generally benefits from practice.
Our Fear of Driving program is endorsed by Allianz Australia to support rehabilitation of their customers post motor vehicle accident.
To provide an immersive practice environment, our virtual reality exposure is delivered within a driving rig in session.
